Trust.

What do you think when you hear that word? I initially think of the common definition: “To place confidence in, rely on.” We place our trust in a lot of things every day. We trust that the floor won’t collapse when we first set foot on it in the morning. We trust that our fridges will have kept our food fresh and ready for our morning meal. With friends, family, even strangers we interact with, there’s a level of trust that they won’t cause us harm.

Did you hesitate about connecting trust to one or more of the things mentioned above? Me too.

Just reading the news can cause anxiety, not to mention confusion: Who can we trust to be

informed? Keep reading.

Let me just remind you of two important verses:

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Psalm 33:20-21: Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in Him, because we trust in His holy name.

Our country may be in a state of turmoil for which there seems to be no solution, but don’t forget: the only solution is to put our trust in God. If there’s anyone you should trust, it should be the One who invented trust. Trust His holy name, and He will be your shield.

You don’t have to worry about what tomorrow holds.
