How are we spreading the Gospel message?

  • First of all by living it.  We are seeking to be pure, honest, faithful, kind, generous and like Christ in every way.  We hope that others will be encouraged by our example to do likewise.

  • Second, we hold public services based on the Bible every Sunday morning at 10:30 A.M.  Here we explain the Bible and how it applies to our lives.


A Congregation Devoted to Jesus

  • Third, we conduct weekly Bible studies.  This provides the small group informality and closeness essential to pursuing personal questions about the Christ life.

  • Fourth, we hold prayer meetings on Sunday as well as special times in response to the calls for help that come our way.

  • Fifth, we offer spiritual counsel for anyone wanting Biblical solutions to modern problems.  Such counsel gives an in depth focus on Bible teaching in such areas as finance, child training, marriage, and education.

  • Sixth, we provide weekly Sunday school classes for young people from pre-school through high school.

  • Seventh, we also provide a youth program for boys and girls at various times.

What benefits are available through this chapel group?

Church members and others may contact the parsonage at any time, and a network of volunteers can be tapped to provide prayer, counsel or other support.  In addition we are available for weddings, baptisms, funerals, child dedications, marriage counseling, visitations and so forth.  Call 973-0387.

What would be expected of a first time visitor on Sunday?

Only that you come seeking God.  Hopefully someone will warmly greet you and make you feel at home.  You will not be asked for money;  no collection is taken.  You will hear a sermon and have a chance to take part in congregational singing.

How could I become a church member?

Church membership is open to all who commit their lives to Jesus and desire to live by His teachings.  The pastor will gladly share with you what the Bible says about baptism if you desire to take that step.

What is the most important reason to look into Quail Hollow Chapel?

The best reason is that Jesus can be found here.  Knowing Him is the mainspring of life.  Come and see for yourself.


Chapel Building

Perhaps you have never attended church before or at least this particular church.  We know what it is like to feel a little uneasy because of unfamiliar surroundings.  We want you to feel at home here so we have designed this to answer some of the questions you may have about us.  More information is available upon request.  Please feel free to ask.

Who are we?

We are people of varied backgrounds with one thing in common -- an attraction to the teachings and person of Jesus Christ.  We call ourselves "Christians" by which we mean those who love, trust and obey Jesus as the most important one in their lives.

What is our purpose for existence?

Our primary purpose is to live as Jesus lived, applying Bible teachings to our modern condition.  We seek to do this first as individuals, then as families and finally as a collective body called a church.  Our secondary purpose is to teach others how to live this way.  We are convinced that the Bible way is the tried and true answer to present day confusion and social problems.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

·       We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired and authoritative Word of God.

·       We believe in the Trinity, that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

·       We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal and imminent return in power and glory.

·       We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, and that with His shed blood He obtained for us an eternal redemption.

  • We believe that salvation is the free gift of God and is possessed by all who have by faith received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
