We
believe that all men are by nature sinners, destitute of all power to
save themselves. We
believe, therefore, that the only means of salvation of sinful men is
the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit on the basis of the atoning
work of Christ through personal faith in Him.
We
believe in the Holy Spirit's personality and deity, and that He was
sent forth from the Father to convict the world of sin, of
righteousness,
and of judgment. We believe
that He is come to regenerate, indwell, sanctify, instruct, and
comfort the saints.
We
believe that Jesus Christ was and is the eternal and only begotten Son
of the Father; that His earthly existence began when He was
supernaturally
conceived in the womb of the Virgin Mary and born a babe in Bethlehem of
Judea; that He took the form of man for the express purpose of
offering His body as a sacrifice for the human race.
We
believe that He lived a sinless life while on earth, though subject to
the same temptations that we meet.
We
believe that when He died, He was accepted by the Father as an offering
for the sins of all men, that He rose from the dead in three days, and
that this resurrection is the fact that established the justification
of a believer in the eyes of our Holy God.
We
believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to this earth in power
and glory and that His return is imminent. |
